About the Author:

Carla Schroder is a self-educated Linux and Windows sysadmin, who laid hands on her first PC around her 37th birthday. Her first PC was a Macintosh LC II. Next came an IBM-clone, a 386sx running MS-DOS 5 and Windows 3.1, with a 14″ shading show, which was satisfactory for some charming hours of DOOM play. At that point around 1997 she found Red Hat 5.0, and had a radical new world to explore.Somewhere along the way she ended up doing independent counseling for little organizations and home clients, supporting both Linux and Windows clients, and incorporating Linux and Windows on the LAN; principally Linux servers and Windows customers.
